Round One

First game of 2007 in the battle of attrition between the Red Sox and the Yankees is tonight, 7:00 p.m. from Florida.
Yeah, it's Spring Training, and several of the Yankees starters are sitting this one out, including Jeter, Slappy, and Damon.
And yeah, I was hoping Tito would send Crazy Julian in for the express purpose of putting a fastball in Damon's earhole, and that dream is gone.
It's still the Yankees, and I'm already jacked up at 5:00, so I might tell Angie and the kids to take a walk for awhile.
Gotta get my "cleaned up language while watching the Yankees" book out and do a quick review.
For one Monday, Jack Bauer gets DVR'd.
THATS how torked I am.

  1. Hey I just heard that W. is doing a special State of the Nation message tonight! Is that going to effect the game, it said all channels even cable. Oh well you can always watch a dvd!

  2. It won't affect NESN Bubba! Sports stations are anti interrupting the game. They do that, the city of Boston will riot in the streets!

  10. Round One: Red Sox

Wakefield was his typical self: when the knuckle ball floats, he's lights out. When it don't, ugh.

7-5 Red Sox. Wake charged with 4, but I was very impressed with the pen. Donnelly, Romero, Delcarmen, Piniero, and Hansen: 2 hits, 1 run.

    That is encouraging.

Bub, if Drew turns out, I'll be the first one in the family with a JD Drew jersey. He's got the skills: it's just can he make a full season. Jerry Remy say's some guys will thrive in Boston.

I hope that's the case with Drew.

  13. Am I the only one bent that the Yankees hit 2 Sox players, and we don't retaliate? Would Reagan have allowed this?

I say strike back with great ferocity and drill someone: C'mon, Terry, this IS the Yankees.

Lets light the fire for 2007.

Ted,They didnt have beckett out there to be the REtaliater!

  15. Kaylee, I don't know about the one to Scheffield's wrist, but I do know he never meant a curve ball to hit Ordonez's massive hair.

It slipped: if Beckett wanted to hit him, he woulda put one right between the numbers on the back of his jersey.

  16. I know TED I am just messing with you and Beckett!I am so nice arent I?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Beckett would never do that on purpose.

  19. Gosh Almighty Kaylee, I had no idea you had a blog too! I ventured over to Tex's spot once and I had to do three Hail Mary's just to get to come back! So you keep your name. As you get older you will find out we Men are happy to let women keep all kind of things to themselves.

  24. Six hits, no runs? I think I will switch to March Madness for a few days. I have a funny feeling these boys from the land of the rising sun will have you guys sipping saki with yank fans before the season is over! Too much bowing going on.

  25. Scott are you a fan of a different team?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Does the Pope smoke dope? Does a bear pee in the woods. Does it rain in southern california. I embrace all teams that are winning. Just ask Ted and Matt!

  33. Kaylee, just one more piece of advice. Have your cousin wear a different color shirt than the pole. Hopefully you wont miss in the future!! You have motivated me to find your blog. I promise to only talk fondly of the beloved sox. Ted you know I settle on one team come playoffs.

  34. Careful now Bub: you don't want the wheels from the bandwagon to run you over as it goes by!
