*Photo from the Boston Globe*What is it about Tek's posterior that causes things like this to happen? At the risk of raising the ire of a certain young lady in Austin, TX, why this fascination with the man's rear end?
Chip Carey and Joe Simpson, the Braves announcers today, were commenting that the end of Tek's swing appeared "strange". No kidding: McCann is already preparing for his future career as a proctologist before Tek's bat even meets the ball on this bases clearing triple. Can you imagine where it was on his follow through?
6-3 Red Sox win, and Kason Gabbard came up from Pawtucket and went 5 innings and struck out 7. 30-13 with the closest team to them the Baltimore Orioles at 10.5 games back.
Someone tell Slappy that the train is coming: it's bringing as the next 3 starters an ageless knuckleballer, a certified lunatic, and a 40 year old ace who once said he could think of nothing better than to make 50,000 Yankee fans all shut up at once.
Let the "When will George fire Joe Torre?" watch begin.
Tek's As* is something to behold Ted...but his Thighs are much more admired by me....
ReplyDelete"young lady in Austin, TX" thanks for the compliment.
WOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO the Boston Train is coming
Tex, I figured you'd get a kick out of that! Can you believe that picture? First person I thought of when I saw that was you!
ReplyDeleteIs it naive to wish for a sweep the next 3 days?
1st person you thought of was ME?? Im sending out PV's and rally hoots to NY to help out our boys
ReplyDeleteAnd a young man in Wellington says a sweep would be great but I'd take the series win!! (Thanks for the name check the other Ted:))
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to see Gabbard because of the rain delay: why would he get sent back to Pawtucket for MDC after what seemed like a more than competent outing?
* the other day
ReplyDeleteJohn, you're welcome: and I think they want as much bullpen help they can have vs. the Yankees. But I'll agree: Gabbard pitched really well.
ReplyDeleteYes Tex: when I saw that picture I thought of you: because of your admitted love of Varitek.
well...i rose above it all and posted something far more important :-p
ReplyDeleteVery nice work Tex: proud of you for rising up from the depths I tried to drag you down too! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd his brother Justin looks just like him lol.
ReplyDeleteNo Yankee sweep...ANYTHING else is just fine with me!
ReplyDeleteCarol, someone posted a picture of him somewhere: it's sort of freaky how much they look alike.
ReplyDeleteHope you are well.
ive seen pics of jason's brother justin and they do SO much alike...i dont know if I could stand having TWO Tek's ASSets in front of me
ReplyDeleteTex, if that happened I think you would spontaneously combust.
ReplyDeleteSeriously.
What, are we all too scared to post during this thing? 4-0 Stankees. As if we can't come back from 4 down!
ReplyDeleteum do you know who is pitching?
ReplyDeleteHello Corn Meal: how are you this fine evening? I'm determined not to get upset: we have a 11 game lead on the Yankees. They cannot make them all up in one game. And I'm lying through my teeth:
ReplyDeleteWould they please just score? 4 runs is nada for these guys.
That's the spirit, Bub!
ReplyDeleteHaving to choose between the ESPN feed and the YES feed is like wondering who scares you more: Iran or N. Korea. I'm going with Korea.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes: I just compared the MFY's to Iran. I think it fits.
I agree..Big Stein's as crazy as that nut Abuuujaminadabyamama in Iran.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Wang so hard to hit? This drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteWonder where Grandpa is? First day working with Sonya: she may have banished him to the backyard.
Youk with the double!
ReplyDeleteHere we go Red Sox, here we go.
:clap clap:
Bub called me...they didn't get to leave until 7:00. He sounded absolutely whipped.
ReplyDeletePAPI WITH A DOUBLE!
ReplyDelete4-1 Sox.
My cheer seems to be working.
ok we have 4 more at bats....get this last out and COME On
ReplyDeleteUgh. Well, 5 runs is not impossible. Especially if we can knock Wang out this inning and get to the collection of gas cans known as the Yankee bullpen. I seem to recall a few short weeks ago the boys scored 6 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
ReplyDeleteKeep the mojo workin, bro.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying: I've said before that Wake gives me ulcers. I love the guy and when he's on, he is fun to watch. But when he does not have it like tonight, it is PAINFUL to sit through. I don't know the exact count, but he threw over 110 pitches and around 50 were balls.
ReplyDeleteouch
ReplyDeleteWell, that sucked: hopefully Julian will drill Slappy in the back tomorrow and all will be well.
ReplyDeleteStill, the Yanks have a LONG hill to climb. Good luck with that.
And Torre: that deal you cut with the Devil? The ending is NOT worth it.
