Pre-Teenage Wasteland

I have no clue how my Pop lived through raising 3 girls without sending them off to a convent, killing every red blooded male that dared call on the telephone, or spending all his spare time building an electric fence that surrounded our house.

'Cause the older that little girl gets in that picture the more I dream about doing all of the above.

That is ONLY unless she and her mother kill each other first.

Then?

All bets are off.

how I wish I listened to my mother more when I was a teenager.

That is what I've been trying to tell Ciera. We'll see if she listens.

Ciera is a smart cookie, and she's listening to her mom. I have learned from experience (x2) that moms are just NOT COOL when you are a teenager. Libby's 19 and I becoming less uncool each year. :)

Funny thing is all my friends loved to come to my house cos they loved my mom! She was funny, loud and sang at the top of her lungs early on Saturday mornings(waking us up) and that embarrassed me but my friends loved that my mother had such a vibrant personality while their moms just seemed to not.

Tex, that is what I told Ciera. EVERY kid thinks their friends parents are cooler.

Maybe I need to tell her :)
that would involve a trip

Parents are not cool. We're not suppose to be. You'll be fine Ted, just breathe. BTW, my kids always mocked the parents who thought they were cool.

Welcome Mat is always out, Tex. You know that. And Dewey? Cool is the furthest I'm trying to be; I just hope I make it. ;)
