Be careful: it's a jungle out there.

For anyone who saw and commented on my last post, just wanted to let you know I deleted it: somehow I screwed up my page with the double post of the pictures. As anyone who knows me will attest, I am an idiot when it comes to technology.

Ang and I took Rakes and Ciera to the zoo, leaving Trot at home with his Papa Alvis. We had a great time, with the only blemish being the one on Rakes forehead after meeting a guard rail at the elephant exhibit.

Getting his hard headiness honestly, from me, he was fine after about 30 seconds. Plus he ate the ice we got him to try to get the swelling down.

As for the Sox, they win 7-3 tonight, behind an impressive 5 2/3 inning's by Kason Gabbard. Lopez, Timlin, Syder, and OKJ finished the night out, and the Sox split the 4 game series with the Rangers.

Joe Maddon and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays come to Fenway tomorrow for the first time all year. For some reason, games vs. the Rays lately resemble scenes from the movie "The Warriors" with bench clearing brawls always near the surface.

Sounds like a fine time for Tavarez to be pitching, following Daisuke tomorrow night.

To paraphrase Patrick Swayze's character Dalton in " Roadhouse":

Julian, take the biggest guy in the world, shatter his knee and he'll drop like a stone.

Tex, I KNEW this would make you laugh: after all, the person who gave me my blogging lesson's would get a kick out of it, no?

I have NO idea what happened: I just know my OCD wouldn't let me leave it like that all night!

And I love this team as well: great effort from the bench players and unknowns to pull off the win: the mark of a great team.

At exactly halfway through the year, we are at 50-31. Which translates to 100-62 for the year.

Not to shabby.

G'morning - I noticed my comment about Rakie/Wakie disappeared here, and I also posted pics of D at the playground a half-hour ago, but they won't publish. Is blogger acting up again?

VTek said...

Note - An hour later, my playground pics finally showed up.

Good morning all! Sorry I missed all the Newt bashing last night. I caught up just now, so no worries!

I'm laughing at the fact that my OCD bro actually COUNTED how many comments he had made our of 60, and the fact that he couldn't leave the blog alone after posting 2 pics. CLASSIC!!!! You know, acceptance in the first step to a cure!

Ted D said...

Listen Granola Bar, I posted the 2 pictures and it made my links go all the way to the bottom. And no, I did not like it. I did not like it one bit. (An homage to Dr. Suess). I AM captain OCD.

Carol, blogger has a mind of it's own I guess. Sorry about deleting the comments you made last night.

And Tex, quit laughing at me!

As long as I get credit for them TD LOL And I give you credit for trying to fix your sidebar/links. I've seen the same thing happen at other people's blogs, and they never fix them!

BTW, OCD Captain = Howie Mandel (maybe you could get on his show with that angle)?

Ted D said...

Good point Carol: that guy takes it to a whole nother level. I haven't gone to wearing latex gloves in public.

Yet.

And the sidebar/links thing would have driven me crazy if I hadn't fixed it.

Let me now give a pre-emptive shut up to Matt.

OK I have slammed peatmoss on his rambling blog before so. Jr what the heck is the point of this blog? That you went to the zoo and remembered to bring all your kids home? Or that you are so ocd that you are ocd about being ocd!

Dear senile brother in law of mine, the title of the blog is Red Sox Dad: One man's thought's, rant's, and mumbling's on FAMILY, LIFE, and Baseball.

Basically, it's about whatever I want it to be about. Plus, it's cheaper than a therapist charges!

Now, if you want to write a blog about selling flowers and fireworks, and your experiences with the AARP, I'll gladly read it and comment on yours! ;)

VTek said...

Ted - Make that "Flowers, Fireworks & Sarcastic Jabs" ;)

Ted D said...

Carol, if we encourage him enough he may actually go through with it.

Mattie will most likely have a nervous breakdown with all of the misspelled words and grammar mistakes!

I know it took all your brain power to make sure that last post was perfect.

I will be surfing for the FFSJ blog! I think under the blog's title, it will say "Musings of a Powerball Winner" ;)

Ted D said...

What are you talking about Bub? I'm like a good song writer: it just flows!

And Carol, if he won the lotto, he'd best be helping me pay off my house!

VTek said...

Ted - May he be burning your mortgage papers when he arrives this month!

Ted, the real jungle was at dinner at your house last night. Rakes is eating spaghetti with this hands and tells me Trot is messy! Of course he was, but I think Rakes was MESSIER! They were red from nose to chin and almost ear to ear!

BTW, he was doing the maniacial laugh over here last night. Cracked Libby and me up. :)

Ted D said...

Stacy: I'm hurt.

Are you trying to say my boys are messy eaters? ;)

Tex said...

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Tree Newt said...

I have as many posts on my blog as Ted does! Wow!

Of course, by writing this, I'm upsetting the count.

Randomness is a requirement on this blog, right?

Tex said...

genuineness is a requirement Matt

i didnt think we were keeping count

Stacy said...

Ted, messy doesn't even start to describe that sight. I thought your head might come off when Rakes starting slinging his spaghetti covered hands around wily-nily. :)

Sorry Mattie. I may have just given Ted more posts. You better think of something else to say. :)

Tree Newt said...

That's alright, sis. I just felt left out. No one had picked on me in few posts.

Ted D said...

Just got back a little bit ago from the Burlington Royals game vs. the Princeton Devil Rays to find the Sox leading the Rays 4-0 in the 8th and Daisuke pitching one heck of a game.

Tex: what were you LOLing about? The boys?

Stacy, after you deal with that EVERY night, the humor in it tends to wane if you know what I mean.

Mattie: you really are insecure!

Tex said...

::waves my hand over Ted's head:: YOU goofball

Ted D said...

Oh.

::smacks forehead::

VTek said...

Some of us do randomness & genuineness all the time, huh Matt ;)

Tree Newt said...

Carol, exactly.

Jr., I'm not insecure...I'm just mom's favorite.

We're looking good tonight Ted, Tampa Bay can solve a lot of hitting slumps!
