JD Drew is smiling.
Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy were on my tv tonight.
Youk and Tek went back to back.
Daisuke was dealing, Lowell was rocking the facial hair, and Manny was being Manny.
Julian Tavarez was pointing like some cracked out air traffic controller.
And all of a sudden, life makes sense again. Baseball is here. It's still Spring Training, so no hiding behind the couch or underneath the table yet.
Just the soothing sounds of Remy and DO having a gigglefest in the booth, Tito rocking back and forth in the dugout, and man hugs any which way you look.
Lucy?
I'm home.

It's here.
*me AND you both*
Need sleep.
me too. nite
Ted, wasn't it great to see actual, live baseball?? And to watch it with JET and Nancy was a great way to kick off the season.
::clink::
One in a row and we're off and running!
Becks, glad you all had fun storming the castle!
::clink::
Horsham, we're off!
yah some would say we're WAY off!!!
Is it that all is well with the world or have you dug yourself deeper into your escapism?
It wasn't on the TV here, so I didn't have to bear with the blue jerseys, but thankfully, Gameday Audio came through :-)
HUZZAH!
Glad things in your world are getting back in alignment. Mikey with facial hair? Hmmmmmm......
Tito making fun of Don after last nights game.
Back to the norm.
Tex, those people would be correct.
Edge, the escapism actually makes the real world better. It's true.
Wayne, get DirecTV and the sports pack that has NESN in it, then just buy Xtra Innings for the games.
Stacy, Lowell is always rocking the facial hair. How he keeps it so trimmed up.....
Krystle, it's good to be back, right?
Hockey never left...how 'bout some love for your hometown Carolina Hurricanes?
Hey puckhead.
How was your Saturday?
i like how that pic you have up that you can only read FUN and see Josh. :)
Ted. I'm def getting either extra innings or the MLB.TV packet. I'm leaning heavily towards the EI since it will be on tv.
About your request for transcript. It was a live chat so the commentary is gone sadly. Krystle and I were the ones commentating back and forth about it though. We both agree you should write a book :-).
btw...Here's the chat we were talking about it in. http://www.freewebs.com/cityofchampions/index.htmCity of Champions place.
I don't have your email otherwise I'd have sent you the link, instead of posting it.
A lot of walks in today's game (No surprise since it's spring). I like how the youth made the big plays for the come back though. Good times ahead...
Wayne - there was a chat today? Man, I woulda showed up and don't worry Ted, it's nothing bad. You'd just understand when you get to where we talked.
Oh and the reason Manny didn't go to Washington DC? He was doing yoga.
I swear, if I said that - my parents would KILL me.
Negative Krystle. The chat today was deads-ville (I went and checked during the game). Army checked in for a second, but was gone before I got there. Slow day, LOL!
Tex, thought you'd like that one. I found the Spring Training picture at Centerfield, and I hadn't seen it yet. Becketts face in that one just KILLS me.
Wayne, it's no big deal. I was just curious what people were saying. It amazes me to this day there are people other than my family that actually read this thing on a regular basis. But I appreciate the compliment; I'd love to write a book, but just don't think I can pull it off.
Maybe just a book of the posts I've already written about him or something.
Oh, and Extra Innings is great. Lot of nights I go from the end of the Sox games to catch some of the West Coast feeds. It's more, but like you said, it's on the tv.
Krystle, I knew it wouldn't have been bad coming from Wayne and you. Just curious to read it, you know?
i think you should publish a book of the posts...so i can go ahead and get Props :)
I know it's something that's already been done I think, but maybe you could publish a book of your greatest posts (Sports, kids, life, whatever...). I hear ya though man. I def couldn't do the book thing.
As for your having readers man, I'm definitely not surprised. You're a good writer. Anyone who can keep my ADHD brain coming back reading more, is doing a lot of things right!
Tex, you're writing the forward; didn't I tell you?
Wayne, Tex, she's a chick. Who's in love with Bobby Kielty and thinks her and Beckett are friends. Humor her. ;)
Seriously, I appreciate the compliment. Tex helped me get it started, and it's a real stress relief for me.
They really need an edit comment feature on here LOL! Anyway, I swear that I knew she was a chick but my brain is mush tonight. :-)
Wayne, they need an edit button AND a spell check.
If only for my brother in law Scott.
My Mike certainly does have the facial hair down to a sceince. I think he & Tek compete for perfect facial hair. Side by side in front of the mirrors, trimming carefully, and watching the other out of the corner of their eye, but pretending not to notice. I bet Tek even takes out a little slide rule.
Your Extra Innings package covers Spring Training too?? The one down here is only regular season.
uhmmm just WHAT was being said about me??? :)
Forward?? Moi?? :) Of course, I'll put a poem of mine in it :)
Dawn, if I remember right, Manny's buddy does all the haircuts and facial hair work. But I can see your scenario playing out as well.
I've got DirecTV with the Sports Package that includes NESN. I get everything but the pro games, and for some reason, Sox Appeal, which they black out.
Tex, I PROMISE you. I ever write a book, my adopted sister Tex is writing the forward.
I am holding firm to the belief that those two won't let *anyone* touch the facial hair.
I must ask this though: If someone really is in charge of maintaining all hair for the team, could they please pin Lowell down & at least take some tweezers to those eyebrows? I adore the man, but for heaven's sake, he is starting to look a little too "Bert & Ernie" with the brows.
Dawn,
Rakes and I both sport the Unibrow.
You trying to tell me something? ;)
Oh you so do not. And judging by your photos, even if you did, your hair is lighter than Lowell's big black brows which appear to be the only place that isn't salt-and-pepper. I will still gaze adoringly at him, but sometimes when he furrows his brows, he really does look like Burt & Ernie, and it cracks me up.
