The Dominator.

*Photo from the Boston Globe*

Boston's $100 million plus Japanese pitcher>Yankees $46 million plus Japanese pitcher.

Daisuke Matsuzaka just pitched a COMPLETE GAME, 6 hit, 1 run game vs. the defending AL Champions the Detroit Tigers.
Kei Igawa, the Yankees Japanese pitcher, just finished a corn dog at the concession stand of the Yankees Single A affililate.

Complete game, 6 hits, 1 run, 122 pitches = 26-11 record, 8.5 over the Yankees. Final score: 7-1 Red Sox.

Hugs and bows on the congratulations line was priceless. Never have I seen a man look more uncomfortable with hugging another man than I did tonight. From Crisp, to Lugo, to Pedroia, to Lowell, Daisuke clearly was hoping for some manly fist bumps.

I'm calling my shot on May 14th: this team has the potential to be SPECIAL. Special in a World Champion, duck boat parade having, confetti in the street kind of special.

I love this game.

Ted, your little Red Sox buddy at school had a new shirt on today; Matsuzaka, only spelled in Japanese. Pretty cool. :)

I got that word already Stacy: seems my little girl has taken a fancy to the little fella. I get a daily update on the wardrobe.

Just because I like to stir the pot. I bet he is pulling a rickshaw down in china town in 2 yrs! BUT JR I do see the sox on a collision course for the WS.

So there, let the hate'n begain for the evening.

Bub, no rickshaws in Dice-K's future, unless he finds a way to blow 50 mil overnight. And isn't the Yen at a higher exchange rate than the dollar right now?

Well, that sucked: coulda used you 2 for some rally mojo. 7-2 Tigers, Verlander was spot on tonight. Wake went 7 and gave up 5 runs with 2 dingers to boot.

The Tigers are a good, sound team. And Scheffield STILL scares the crap out of me. I'm glad he's a Yankee no more.

KAYLEE said...

AT least wake is consistent!

Mattie boy where have you been. He is pulling not from a financial standpoint, but from a one and done standpoint! Now lets talk about JD and we can get on the same page.

Ok I have to get out of hotwater. My wife ,jr and matts sis. did her first little note lastnight. But the crack about not knowing what MFY ment was my two cents. Of course she knows what MFY stands for!

Ok Jr, ignoring me only lets the creative juices flow longer.

Bub, sometimes it's just more than I can take to turn the computer on. Some nights, I just want to veg. I'm not much of a blogger.
Can't hold a candle to you boys!

MFY = My Favorite Yak.

What does Sonj think it means?

Tell me she does not think it is something profane: I would NEVER EVER say something like that.

And Daisuke will be just fine: do you realize that the Sox pretty much have to play no better than .500 the rest of the season for the Most Favorite Yak's to catch up?

Tex said...

no Ted...MFY means My Favorite Year :)

;Scottie...ill let this one go.

KAYLEE said...

Ted D said...

Hey Tex! I'll go along with that: My favorite year.

Either way I think my sis has got a misconception about me.

Tough loss tonight: when do you get back to Austin?
