Remember

I don't know who these 2 soldiers are, but I'd like to think the one standing up is a Red Sox fan: check out the 2 fingered "Manny point" he's giving the camera.

Just wanted to remind anyone who happens by here today that while we all enjoy our long weekend of cookouts, ball games, and time with our family, take a minute to remember our troops.

Memorial Day is a day to remember the men and women who have given their life for this country in the past, and who continue to do so to this day. They do something that many of us, myself included, can't or don't want to do.

God Bless each and every one of them.

They are true heros in my book...some of our best and bravest.

(That DOES sort of look like the Manny point. Maybe.... :)

Tex, you say that like it's a bad thing! ;)

Welcome back: hope the game was fun and the wedding went off without a hitch.

Great way to end Sunday, huh? 3 game sweep coupled with a 3 game collapse of the Yankees: wonder if Roger is regretting his decision?

\\the wedding went off without a hitch.//

WELL they DID get hitched :)

The wedding was gorgeous! Outside by a small lake at a luthern retreat center with the reception outside. Despite all the rain around...it stopped for the entire time!!!

The game was great...Im gonna try and upload my pics and then post some.

I dont know if you read my lil story on this mornings SG post...my 2nd inning story...it was a LONG night with the 2 hr delay. I am pooped today.

I caught it Tex: ONLY YOU would that happen to!

I was best man in my buddy's wedding around 14 years ago at a outdoor wedding by a lake: only one I've ever been to. Pretty neat experience.

Glad you made it home safe.

im tellin ya...I was in shock when he told me I was cut off...and everyone around me was TOO. course the boys behind me-Sox fans(about 5 30something yr olds) razzed me ALL night long about it.

He must have taken your exuberance for life the wrong way. That is too funny Texas.

well Ted i was NOT laughing at the time. The thing is I had already made friends with many people around...course it seemed more Sox fans stuck it out...and they were just as shocked as I was. But I figured id better behave as NOT to get thrown out. I hope the Baltimore beerguys aren't as sober

We'll keep an eye out for you Tex, don't worry!
