Merry Christmas

Medicine for 1 wife and 3 kids beat down from the flu and one dead-tired Dad? $57 dollars.

Carpet cleaner, Lysol, and detergent to clean everything from the plague? $23 dollars.

Loss of productivity of Dad due to lack of sleep? $2 dollars. (Let's be honest: I don't REALLY do all that much.)

A dime for every time I fussed at the boys tonight for running, yelling, and in Trot's case, sneaking outside? $1,000,000,000.

Looks of joy on their tired, sick faces as they opened up Elmo, Batman, and Hannah Montana toys? Priceless.

I'd like to wish all of you who come by here on a regular or semi-regular basis a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

And if you see Santa, tell him to hurry up with those horse tranquilizers.

Merry Christmas, little brother! Sounds like Trot is definitely better if he's breaking the security system and getting outside! :)

Hey Mattie,

I halfway slept on the floor after the kids opened presents this morning, so I've at least got that going for me.

Merry Christmas Christine: so far so good on me getting sick. I think the good Lord knew one of us had to stay well! 50 days is a walk in the park, right?

Stacy, he and his brother are better. The house looks like a truck of wrapping paper exploded in it.

Get your rest, Ted. You only have about 20 years to go until the kids are all growed up!

(I was going to say till you don't have to worry about them, but I know from my nieces and nephews, you never stop doing that...or paying for Christmas gifts!)

::hygs to all (provided I can wear a surgical mask::

Thanks, Becks. And I'm 37 and my Pop is still giving me some great advice and helping out where he can.

20 years? Oh boy.

Put the surgical mask on;

I hope the fam is feeling better today Ted. Coincidentally, my co-worker's family, also originally from NC, spent Christmas with the stomach flu and are out of the office today. Must be some kind of NC thang Taheed.

I hope everyone is feeling better today and that flu is a distant memory. Did you all have a great Christmas just the same?

Ted D said...

Stephen, everyone is better. My stomach has felt like I've been on the Tilt-a-Whirl for 2 days but so far so good. It could very well be a NC thing, who knows.

Tex, I'm going to call him to make sure he wants to take the risk.

Edge, even with the sickness, the kids had a great Christmas. Hope you guys did as well.

I'm off to see "National Treasure" with Ciera and family.

Where are you Jr? Out causing a pandemic. I thought you would be at home giving us some good stories. We went and saw Nat. Treasure last night. Pretty good flick.

Setting here introducing Garrison to my new ELO greatest hits CD the girls got me. Now that is classic music.

You must be feeling better, you left the house. I hope PeatMoss hasen't taken you to WallyWorld.

Bub, I went back over to Mom's to eat with Ciera. Ang and the boys stayed at home. I'll try to put something new up later tonight.

It was a pretty good movie: not many you can take one as young as Ciera and you still like it.
