The Babe has nothing on Rakes.

Forget Big Papi and his All-Star game contest; Rakes is now the king of the called shot.

Lord, I feel for his coaches as he works his way up from T-Ball to Little League. Poor kid thinks flipping your bat and admiring your moon shot is the acceptable thing to do.

Maybe I shouldn't let him watch so many Red Sox games with me?

And due to popular opinion, here is Trot with his brand new haircut:

This was done right before the Sox/A's series. I blame Ang for the sweep.

You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't tug on The Lone Ranger's mask, and you don't cut Sampson's hair.

I'm loving every minute of it, Tex.

Although the fanatic in me laments the lack of defense. Apparently the dirt is much more enjoyable that the game for most of these kids. ;)

awh, I love Trot's hair! So cute. Little Kids + Baseball = LIFE!

I'm guessing Manny is his favorite much?

Krystle, Manny is his favorite, followed closely by Papi and Coco Crisp.

Although I'm pretty sure he just likes the name. ;)

So cute! Between the called shot and Trot looking like a "big boy," a fun read this morning!

Of course, it will be harder to explain to these guys how come they have all these "virtual" relatives!

When Keith sent me that pic, I cracked up. Calling your shot at 5? CLASSIC! I wonder...does he watch a lot of MLB?

And lay off the Trotster. He looks good with his new 'do. As for the sweep...I blame that on your not being at 15,000 feet while Lester pitched.

Beth, I've already tried to tell them about "Aunt Tex" and "Uncle Josh" and they just look at me like I've got 3 heads!

It's tough being the ringleader of this 3 ring circus. ;)

Maybe you could tell him bat flipping and admiring your HR acceptable once you're in the majors? He might go along with it...

It's worth a shot,Nichole. ;)

Evening everyone:

Ted, I really think you need to write a book--sort of like the male version of Erma Bombeck...LOL You crack me right up...

So, is anyone else surprised that after averaging 437 pitches per games (and only getting in about 5-6 innings out of that) that Daisuke has shoulder fatigue???? Nope, didn't think so...

2 weeks, and I am off to the Fens myself..Whoo hoo!

We...need...to...win...

Hope all is well!

Go Sox!

Wow! Trot looks great! Such a big guy, all of a sudden.

And Rakes? Well, he's the MAN!

Christine, I appreciate the sentiment; and I'm sure all 12 people who read this train wreck would buy it, but I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of rejection yet.

Yeah, Daisuke's shoulder fatigue doesn't come as a shock; hopefully rest is all he needs.

Becks, it's really amazing how cutting his hair he looks like a little kid now and not a baby anymore. I still miss the hair. :(

Rakes is my greatest challenge and greatest joy; he'll either be the President, a stand up comic, or a career criminal.
