Dear Commander of the KAB,

I made a bet earlier tonight with Jr that you'd win at least 15 games next year for $100.

I've got three kids, work on commission, and have a car payment and a mortgage. To say I don't have a spare $100 laying around is the equivalent of the U.S. saying a nuclear armed Iran is not an option.

In other words? You can carve it in granite.

So if you could be 2007 Josh Beckett next year?

I'd owe you a solid in return.

Thanks.

15?

I'll start tucking away my spare change for you now. (If all goes well we can use it for a palooza.)

Not you too, Kelly? ;)

Only 14 AL pitchers got 15 wins in 2010. I expect a good season from Beckett, but those are tough odds. And I think the Sox are more likely to be scrappy than slugging, which might mean more late inning wins and fewer for the starters.

Kelly, for once I've gotta ignore your logic. There is no way Jr is getting $100 bucks from me; next year, they'll be 15 15 game winners.
