Let the Pre-Palooza planning begin.

I've got a pretty simple life. Work 5 days a week, play Bobby Ewing to Ang's Pam, and turn into Homer Simpson to ride herd over my version of Bart, Lisa, and whatever that baby's name is.

My golf handicap looks like the Dow on an up day, I last visited a gym when Bill Clinton was President, and no pub within 500 miles has my name on a stool with everyone screaming "TED!" when I walk in.

I'm a story book reading, diaper changing, dish washing machine 99.9% of the time.

Except when it comes to Palooza's. And come May 23, 2009 my idiot self will be in Boston, MA with 30+ of my friends watching the Sox and the Blue Jays for the Spring 2009 SG Palooza. Or something.

In the midst of winter, Holiday shopping, and 4,398 versions of "Little Drummer Boy" being piped into the store's radio this has made me smile like I just won the PowerBall.

Sometimes Christmas comes early.

Ummmm. I think they're playing the Mets that weekend. But you can call them the jays if you wanna :)

My bad. Mets, Blue Jays, whoever.

All I know it's a Palooza; and I'll be there.

so is the plan to watch the Sat game at the bar OR go to the game? and are you planning on trying to go to 2 or 3 games? I'm gonna come in on Thursday night and fly out Monday night. But I think I'm just gonna go to Fri and Sat games. course I could change my mind by then

Tex, my only plan so far is to get there. I'll most likely fly in on Thursday but Memorial Day is screwing with me. I may have to fly out on Sunday, which means I'm in for Friday at the park and Saturday at ATN.

I've gotta see what all the plans are first.

The big thing for me? I'll be in Boston. At Fenway at some point. And with all my friends.

I can think of worse ways to spend a weekend.

It's a good feeling, huh? I'm looking at two or three games at least and seeing a bit more of Boston. Might even sort a side trip to Maine. My sister has a friend with a house on a lake who's always inviting me up there.

It will be A-FREAKIN-MAZING :)

Scouser, you said it best. A Freaking Mazing. Can't wait.

Krystle, sorry to hear the roommate is from hell; hopefully next semester will be better and you've got the Florida trip to look forward too.

Bickley, just a bunch of friends finally picked a day that just so happened to be my birthday to have our yearly Palooza! It's a blast.

Rich, you'll have the time of your life. It's a freaking amazing group. And you haven't met Tex yet. You've gotta get up pretty early in the morning to lap her. ;)

Bridget, I thought they were AMAZINGLY patient in May, considering we had 30+ people hollering and yelling for over 2 hours at them.

One of my favorite things in the world is to drive wait staff up a wall.

Oh lord are we going to have some fun.

Ted D said...

Rich, thanks for changing your screen name. The Richard thing was sort of freaking me out a little. ;)

And you have no idea on how much fun we'll have; this is a FANTASTIC group of people and you will laugh until you cry.

Tex said...

Richard...we have to be nice to the wait staff...we want to return to ATN

I saw how frazzled they got with 8 of us in September. I'm sort of worried how they'll handle 30. But Kelly will be there and she'll make it OK.

I wonder if the pressure of being the level headed one in the group will ever get to her.
