Yes. These two guys really are your MVP candidates.

Pedie had a double, Youk hit a home run and I can go to bed a happy man.

For all of the cluster mess that Bud Selig has created as Commissioner of Baseball, the man gets a big thumbs up from me for coming up with the WBC.

Meaningful baseball in March?

Brilliant.

I love watching baseball but I'm not totally sold on the WBC. As long as our players dont get hurt...fine...but if one does...then Ill be upset

Cluster mess???

This WBC has got my attention more than the first one for some reason, may be related to the time zone I'm in (I got 13 hours of baseball from ~ 6 a.m. yesterday, Sunday, most of which must have been in the middle of the night in the UK).

My money, if I had any, would be on a repeat of the 2006 final, with a shade in favour of Cuba this time. Their international tournament record is astonishing.

Like most people, though, I just hope that our guys get through unscathed.

My TV is still in one piece.

I thought it was toast in the 4th.

Youk is an animal, he's going to hit 40 this year.

Tex, right there with you on keeping guys healthy. JJ Putz was so wired up Saturday I thought his head would pop.

John, it's pretty great having that much baseball. The USA team looks strong this time; they may give Japan and Cuba a run for their money.

And 40 sounds good to me, Rich.
