The Man Child at the All-Star Game

Is there anyone he WON'T hug?

Red Sox First base coach Luis Alicea gets the Manny treatment before the All-Star Game tonight, which I'm guessing is par for the course for him.

Best part about this photo?

Slappy, with what I imagine a look of dismay on his face while Manny does his best impression of a 5 year old.

Yes, Alex. You CAN have fun while playing a kids game, make millions and still make the Hall of Fame. Plus, you don't have to wear the Hamburger Helper's gloves and great big clown shoes to do it.

Dreadlocks are optional, although I'm pretty sure you can't carry that look off as well as Manny.

And to the dismay of Yankee fans everywhere, JD Drew just hit a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game. IN THE TOILET.

The over/under on Hank Steinbrenner making a motion to ban Red Sox players from the All-Star game?

It just red lined.

Hey Hank? Still think Red Sox Nation is a load of s**t?

Dink.

*POSTSCRIPT*

In what can only be described as ironic, the American League won the game 4-3 in extra innings.

MVP of the Game? JD Drew.

Further proof God has a sense of humor.

Manchild :)

I love that JD hit that homer.

Me too, Tex.

No matter what happens, JD came through when it mattered.

Unlike Jeter and Slappy.

More proof God is a Sox fan. ;)

not only is God a Sox fan, he hates the Yankees.

All the better, Tex.

All the better.

Okay so the game hasn't ended and I'm still upset about how classless Yankee fans are.

The only thing that make this better? Drew being MVP.

In the toilet.

How beautiful.

Great that JD won the MVP but the thing was something of a farce. MLB should figure out a better way to do this.

And Tito should sit JD for Friday's game, he's earned a rest.

Krystle, game at the toilet, we knew it wouldn't be fun. But I'm with you and the Scouser; great that he won the MVP.

And Horsham, I agree. There should be a better way. Hopefully with today and tomorrow, JD will be ready to go come Friday night.

I called it before it happened. I told someone that if he hits anything game winning - I'd buy a JD shirt. Now I'm on a search to find the shirt, techincally being MVP is game winning.

And why oh why did I stay up for the whole game - only to find out that the Yankee moro...ergh fans were booing JD when he won MVP. *headdesks*

Krystle, Like and idiot I stayed up for the whole thing as well.

Let 'em boo; JD won the MVP in the last All-Star game at Yankee Stadium.

That has GOT to be sticking sideways in Hank's craw.

WOOT JD!

I was so furious when they were booing Pap to the extent they were while he was on the mound. Furious.

Now, what am I to do the next two days??? No baseball, I may lose it. :)

I personally think Slappy is wishing *he* could get a Manny-hug.

I did not make it past the top of the 9th, but I loved waking up to find out that the AL won *and* Drew got the MVP.

Favorite part of all though? Learning that JD Drew has a knuckleball. I think I am *finally* feeling like he is worthy of sharing that number 7.

Crys, I can't describe how idiotic they looked. We were on the SAME team. Morons.

Dawn, you know he was; I hope Manny just ignored him. Rakes wore #7 in T-Ball, mainly for Trot.

But I was proud to tell him that was JD's number as well.
